Who We Are Our Programs Outreach The Word

Local Support

+ Hana Missions Soup Kitchen
- Every 3rd Saturday, we have been going over to Hanna Mission at Paterson to bring hot soup and bread to the homeless and the needy. We arrive at 6:30 am with two huge pots of soup and big smiles (Different members volunteer to brew their favorite soup). After worship and prayer, we serve the needy with large portions and with respect to her personhood. We know they are beloved of God.

+ Christmas Lighting Bake Sale
- Every first Saturday of December, we have a Christmas Lighting Event where we gather around a warm campfire and sing Christmas carols and enjoy the coming Christmas together with our neighborhood and our Scouts. The children enjoy their crafts and pictures with Santa, and along with hot chili and soup, we have a bake sale to raise funds for local mission.

+ Christmas Mitten Tree
- A small tree is placed outside the sanctuary by the front door to greet all the worshipers during the Advent season with a sign, “Christmas Mitten Tree.” Because we have done it for so long, no further explanation is needed. People know that the new children’s mittens that gets hung up on the trees will go to the needy children in our neighborhood through a local charity.

+ Church Plant Support
- Cornerstone Presbyterian Church (2011)

+ Scouts & Gamblers Anonymous
- From the early days of our church, we have sponsored the local scouts and welcomed their programs to be run in our church. At the present, the boys, girls & cubs meet at our church weekly and we hold a Scouts Sunday worship on 2nd Sunday of February to celebrate their work. We also provide a meeting place for two Gamblers Anonymous groups each week as well as Gam-Anon for the spouses, family or close friends of compulsive gamblers. We support and value their work.
