Global Missions Support

+ Dr. & Mrs. Bob & Grace Shim in Thailand
Bob and Grace and their three children have been in the mission field since 2002 when they accepted a call through Evangelical Covenant and went to Naryn, Kyrgyzstan to head a medical clinic and work with the local churches there. After six years, they received a call to go to northern Thailand and since 2009, Chiang Mai has been their new home. Bob uses his medical expertise working with an organization called SDRF (Sustainable Development Research Foundation), and Grace uses her counseling degree to work at Cornerstone Counseling Center in the city that supports the need of the missionaries all over Asia. + Dr. Chi Chung (preparing to go to Ethiopia)
Dr. Chung visited us late last year to present God’s calling in his life to serve the people of Africa, and specifically Ethiopia. He will be going to Ethiopia’s capital city to train up local believers who desire to become doctors. He will take part in the disciplining process as well as teaching them to care for the patients. His expertise on surgery will provide all of their needs. The goal is for the locals to learn to treat their own with Christian love and sacrifice. We were impressed with Dr. Chung’s heart and his testimony of call.

+ Operation Christmas Child
- We have been annual participants in the work of Samaritan Purse and their Operation Christmas Child. Beginning late October, our members and our children at challenged to support the ministry the missionaries around the world as they present our Christmas gift boxes to the children in third world countries. This past year, we sent over 40 shoeboxes filled with our love and prayer.
