Tens of thousands of lives have been taken in Myanmar and China by recent natural disasters. Hundreds of children were buried alive when their school collapsed over them during the earth quake. The stories, the pictures, the tremendous scope of the tragedy all add up to a mind numbing toll of human suffering.
